Showing contacts name when incomming calls

Recommended Posts

HI.

I have syncronized all my contacts from outlook to my Qtek 8010 (or

spv c500 for that matter....)

Now, when I get an incomming call, and the caller is someone I have

stored in contacts; the phone just show the number of the caller and

not the name. :D

Further on, if I have an unanswered call, and it is someone from my

contacts, it just shows the number. If I then (in the log) press menu and

"search for contact", I get the message that noone is stored at that number

(wich of course is wrong)

BTW. the icon (still in the log) shows an "!" next to the red phone.

BUT!

When I got a call from a number that was not stored in contacts, and saved

it from the ringlog, then I find the number when i search for it from the log

(I have not tried to also see if that numbers name will appear when I have

an incomming from it)

My only solution so far is to use te photo caller ID, but that sucks since I cannot

fly all around the country taking pictures of everyone from my contact list!!

So is there any fixes to this, or is a nokia from the middle 90's "smarter" on this

point than my smartphone??

make sure the phone numbers are in international format and start with a +, so for a UK number it would start +44. If you search the forum there is a formating tool that was released a while back that does all of the contacts in one go...

This has me puzzled, cos I ren-entered all my numbers manually when changing phones (had a big sort out) non being in international format, and I always see names AND numbers when receiving a call.... had no probs!

Why is it everyone else seems to require +44 prefix :?:
