Guest ought Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 I am not so impressed with the headphones that come with my C500 and would much rather use my own Sony earplug type. Is there an adaptor or anything that will let me use headphones other than the supplied ones? Cheers!
Guest Disco Stu Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 I use my Sony headphones. You need a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adaptor. The MoDaCo shop sells them but you can pick them up from high-street shops like Maplins.
Guest Terry21uk Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 I take it that 'normal headphones' can only be used for listerning to media player and such like and not for making hands free calls, as the supplied head phones have a four section (3 black rings) plug and normal 'stereo' phones have only a 3 section (2 black rings) plug?
Guest Disco Stu Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 Well you haven't got a mic for a start, but you can hear the caller through them.
Guest moo Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 It would be easier to dismantle the orange headphones and fit different earbuds to the end of the cables. that way you keep the mic and plug etc.

Guest Chaser81 Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 If any of you have an Ipaq 1910, it came with a blinding little 2.5mm to 3.5mm headphone adaptor which works like a treat in the C500 with a decent pair of Sony earphones.
Guest ought Posted January 20, 2005 Report Posted January 20, 2005 I will have to check out Maplins at the weekend. Do they do the adaptor with the cable?
