Guest benjymous Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 We all know that folder sync is disabled for smartphones (did microsoft ever give a good reason why?) but a few days ago somebody posted a link to something designed for windows ce that apparently syncs folders, and works on smartphone (but I was away from home, and have since lost the link and no amount of searching is letting me find it :D ) Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
Guest Confucious Posted January 20, 2005 Report Posted January 20, 2005 A search turned up http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=198967&hl= :D

I managed to find it myself a few days ago, and am really happy with it (got it keeping my phone's "my documents" folder with a folder on my PC, making copying in new backgrounds and ringtones (and getting at photos and videos I've taken) really easy :D Anyone else finding the default "show messages" search mode to be really irritating? (I know it's changable in the advanced search, but still it irks me!)

Guest pwald Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 there is a bit of software called Rubberstamp I have just started to use that seems to work well http://www.handango.com/PlatformSearch.jsp...rch=rubberstamp

Guest Confucious Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 But give pwald credit - not bad for a second post, coming up with something that doesn't seem to have been mentioned before (I'd certainly never heard of it) and could be a good alternative for someone that needs the extra features. Thank you pwald
