the hours ive wasted playing and reading about problems with active sync, and im an IT guy!!!

My works machine detected it once , now never again....no matter what i try

Is there an alternative to active sync, surely there must be

Any ideas?

Intellisync? Works with Pocket PCs so dont see why it wouldnt work with Smartphones. Expensive though, its about £50-£60 I think.
