Guest alexknight Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 I no longer need to sync my outlook emails with my phone, i have un-ticked the box in active sync so that the sync no longer occurs but i have no idea how i clear out all the e-mail that are on the phone? Anyone able to help me out - my serches have found nothing Alex
Guest Disco Stu Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 You could delete them manually from the phone although sadly only the Deleted Items folder has a 'Clear Folder' option. Alternative #1 is to connect phone to PC as Guest and clear out \Storage \ Windows \Messaging and \Storage \MAPI as I believe those folders contain the messages. Alternative #2 is to get Jeyo Mobile Companion (or Jeyo Mobile Extender or Smartphone Studio ?) or similar PC tool to handle your emails. One of the mxip.something.vol files might be deleted too but wait until someone comes along who knows which one :D

Guest alexknight Posted January 20, 2005 Report Posted January 20, 2005 are you telling me no one on here can tell me how i delete the folder tree from the Outlook Email in messaging on a C500?? I have removed all the e-mails, but the folder tree stays in the list - any ideas?? Alex
Guest Disco Stu Posted January 20, 2005 Report Posted January 20, 2005 We've had this discussion recently, and I'm pretty sure it was concluded that it wasn't possible. A hard reset would sort you out but that's far too drastic for now
Guest alexknight Posted January 20, 2005 Report Posted January 20, 2005 that seems bloody stupid - will have a look through the phone and see what i can find - do not imagine it is not possible. Worst case will Hard reset at some point i guess!! Alex
