Guest ParTyboy Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 Hi guys and girls, My first post here on the forums so please go easy on me 8) Couple of days ago i bought myself an SPV C500 on orange, since the first time i booted it up at the top of the screen i have a "G" just to the left of the Bluetooth symbol, does this mean i am connected to anything and will it be costing me anything? Hope you can help me, cheers people
Guest Confused Stu Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 Welcome to the forum - and don't worry! We're all pretty friendly, and we were all new here once! :D No, the "G" in the centre of the top indicates GPRS is available. This is basically a faster way to connect to the net that you charged for by the Kb, rather than by the time online. The GPRS is active when the aeriel symbol (next to the signal strength) changes to a little "G" too. Try connecting to the net to see what I mean. :D
Guest ParTyboy Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 Ahh cool, thats good news then. Thanks for such a speedy reply too. :D
Guest Confused Stu Posted January 18, 2005 Report Posted January 18, 2005 No problem, was passing through anyway and actually knew an answer for once! :D/
