C500 makes a 'zzz' sound when making calls.

Hi, my SPV C500 makes a humming 'zzz' noise whenever i am making/receiving a call, does anyone else have this? I havent notice it before, only had the phone for a few weeks but only noticed this in the last few days. Its very annoying, please help..... :?:

i also have this "zzz" thing....but it's not during a call...only before he/she answers...so it doesn't bother me...

I had a similar problem with my C500, a kind of 'buzzin/echo' when making or recieving a call. What a problem i had getting it replaced, went to the orange shop where i bought it (only had it 6 days), shop agreed there was a problem. The shop contacted orange who informed the shop 'there is a known problem with buzzin handsets but they couldnt replace it as it COULD be fixed by software update. They couldnt give me a date for this update so i had to live with it'. The guy in the shop agreed with me but there was nothing he could do, although if i had dropped it he could replace it ???. Anyway i got in touch with Orange Exec office, complained and they put me onto a guy in customer services (extremely helpful, bent over backwards (not literally)) who got the phone replaced. New one works fine, so it was a FAULTY phone. Just persist, dont take no for an answer.

Thanks for the helpful reply nick, its a constant buzzing noise whenever im talking on the phone, and although its not loud, its noticeable and annoying, i will go to an orange shop later and tell them abt it.

Nick, can you give me the details of the Orange Exec Office, Orange so far say they cant refuse it and tell me to contact HTC. :evil: :x
