Guest drblow Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 (edited) Now, it's not like me to advocate any of Orange's services really ... but I thought this one was actually quite good & signed up for it today. As I can't find any reference to it on the forums I thought I'd share! :D Here's the link ... HERE. Basically, it's only open to high use tariffs - talk 400, 700, or 1000. I'm currently on talk 400, which costs me 50 quid per month. This premier service costs me a fiver on top of that. But for that extra fiver, I get my Orange care paid (so thats the fiveer covered right there), free answerphone, 3MB free GPRS, a priority handset upgrade every 9 months, some kind of memory card for saving contacts on if you take it to an Orange shop, and ... get this ... a dedicated customer service number!! :D That should be fun! Still, I thought I'd give a heads up to anyone who is using a high tariff. Since it covers my Orange care payment, I get a bunch of other stuff free. I particularly like the 'priority upgrade' thing. That is, if O have managed to get some stock by then. :D EDIT - Oh, forgot to mention, this offer is open to new & existing customers, of course. :P Edited January 19, 2005 by drblow
Guest Pondrew Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 I would sign up for this in a second but Orange have next to no signal where I am so I'm off to pastures new. Must admit I'm sorry to leave (although I'll still have one account with Orange).
Guest chucky.egg Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 Hasn't that deal been going for a while now? Or I have I just stumbled on an old post? £50 is kinda steep for me, I've got my and the GF down to £30/month each and TBH we rarely use all the minutes and never the 500 texts!
Guest Chaser81 Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 Its been posted today, so I dont think drblow has realised that this has been around for nearly a year.....
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 Yeah its been around for a while, and was talked about on here when it was launched. Can't go worng with a 9 month upgrade if you ask me! :D

Guest dearsina Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 Orange 1000 tariff is considerably more expensive than the O2 MAX tariff (same number of minutes + 30ish text + includes calls to 0870). The irony is that Orange will match the O2 MAX tariff, which I have done. So if I were to switch to this lame attempt at creating a business class of mobile phone subscriptions I would be paying a lot more pr month, definitely not worth it, no matter how nice and shiny the silver SPV is... :-) sina london

Guest evilc Posted March 16, 2005 Report Posted March 16, 2005 Have orange changed the goal posts on this one in the last couple of days? The 400 minute premier plan has gone, to be replaced by a 600 minute one for 5 pounds more.... BUT..... gone is any mention of the included 3Mb GPRS, replaced by a £10 messaging bundle, but possibly the bigger problem, is there's also now no mention of the early 9 month upgrade. any one got any ideas whether these featuers really have been removed from the plans? the CSR i talked to claimed the plans were exactly the same apart from the inclusive minutes, but somehow i'm not so convinced!
Guest sili Posted April 19, 2005 Report Posted April 19, 2005 If you can upgrade 9 months into your contact, does that mean your contact is only 9 months as suppose to the normal 12?
Guest squall Posted April 19, 2005 Report Posted April 19, 2005 nope, just means you can upgrade after 9 months!
Guest sili Posted April 19, 2005 Report Posted April 19, 2005 nope, just means you can upgrade after 9 months! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> once you have upgraded when can you upgrade again?
