Guest d3viou5 Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 Is there any way to get some more bass out of Betaplayer. I have the latest version, and the Equaliser seems to make no difference whatsoever. Enabled or Disabled......... Sounds ok, but its tinny as hell compared to normal MP3/WMA players. If not, are there any other MP3/WMA players out there that will give that little bit more punch?
Guest martin Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 The equaliser works but only with MP3's. It's also worth buying a good pair of earphones for music instead of using those supplied with the phone.
Guest Disco Stu Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 Get a 2.5-3.5mm adaptor (froom Maplins etc) and use your Walkman headphones 8)
Guest mavisdavis Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 The equaliser works but only with MP3's. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not all true. The equaliser also works for films as well. I use it set to full and amplified when I decode a film with low sound levels :D

Guest martin Posted January 20, 2005 Report Posted January 20, 2005 Damn :D I'm must be slowing down in my old age :D
Guest Confused Stu Posted January 20, 2005 Report Posted January 20, 2005 Ah! Don't feel bad - old age catches up with all of us. I SAID DON'T FEEL BAD, OLD AGE CATCHES UP WITH ALL OF US! YES! CHECK THE BATTERIES IN YOUR HEARING AID WHILE I GET YOUR HORLICKS!!
Guest jet5354 Posted January 21, 2005 Report Posted January 21, 2005 what's a good bitrate for a small size mp3? 2mb and under would be nice. i tend to put wma's on my phone, because they seem to suffer less at high compression. but i'd rather have more bass! how much are 512 cards going for these days anyway?
Guest jules.b Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 I also want more bass! I have compared my c500 side by side with my beatman flash. The sound even through good sony headphones is really tinny, never mind the bit-rate it's always worse through the C500. I wonder if the analogue stage is set up to cut bass, perhaps to avoid overloading the tiny internal speaker when that is in use? Are there any WMA players that will boost the bass to compensate?
Guest SeaneyC Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 Not all true. The equaliser also works for films as well.
