Guest cybercamel Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 I'm off to the States in March, Iowa/Nebraska first :D then down to Florida :D . I'm going to get myself an ipod, so any advice would be appreciated. Especially with regards to the best (eg cheapest) place to buy it from?
Guest nobznss Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 (edited) If I were to choose a place I'd say online. That's where you're going to find it for the cheapest. As for in a store, they're all going to be right around the same price. I always like to buy my stuff from Circuit City. They have a 30 day replacement guarantee which I like. Guest Eldar2k Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 I would probably go to the Best Buy. They always have them. And you will get some mail-in rebates
Guest cybercamel Posted January 20, 2005 Report Posted January 20, 2005 Thanks guys, probably wont be able to order it on-line, as I'm only visiting! Is Best Buy a store and whats a mail-in rebate? :D
Guest nobznss Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 Best buy is a store, and a mail in rebate is a deal that you mail in and they send you money back for it. Problem is it takes at least 90 days (sometimes shorter if you're lucky) to get anything back from them. You may be long gone by then.
Guest nickcornaglia Posted January 24, 2005 Report Posted January 24, 2005 You cant swing a cat in the US without hitting a store that sells ipods. BestBuy, Circuit City, CompUSA, Target...all of them should be selling for the same price and all usually offer a 10% discount if you see the same thing advertised in the other stores.
