French SPV Update 1.6

Well after all my fussing over where to get drivers etc for my Eleksen Keyboard running on an SPV (Canary) with a French Rom, I peer into my downloads file and discover I've got the 1.6 Update.

So I wack it on run the Orance back up tool (which doesn't mention the fact you should turn off Active Synch.

The I run the 1.6 update tool, get a bit worried, at some of the things my SPV is doing, get a cup of coffee and go and have a stress relieving cigarette, come back, and voila, a nice new SPV running the update.

I run the restore half of the Orange back up tool, get paniced again, smoke a bit more, come back and it's all there just like it was before, and now the keyboard works fine.

In fact so pleased am I that I'm writing this on my phone and I'll save it, the copy and paste.

I have to say the keyboard is great, now all I have to do is save for an E200, plug in my bluetooth dongle on my desktop PC, and use pass through to connect to the net from anywhere in my house or garden. I wonder if you can use agile messenger with bluetooth pass thru?

If anyone wants the French 1.6 update, I can e-mail it to you, perhaps there's someone who could host it?

Glad you're happy but why save up for an E200 - go for the C500 it's soooo much better and yes, you can use agile messenger via passthrough :D

Because saving for an E200 is a lot less saving than saving for a C500. Mind you by the time I've saved for the E200 the C500 will be obsolete and so cheaper too.
