Guest DomConway Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 Something I've just noticed on my C500 - I've been doing a fair bit of surfing over GPRS, and checked in IE / Options / Memory - and the size of Temporary Files is 0 bytes! The Cookies and History are a few K. Is my handset not storing Temporary Internet Files? I thought it should be...
Guest csandbach Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 Same here, also how do you save images from internet explorer, or is this a case of orange not wanting you to do so... Looks like opera is going to be downloaded
Guest martin Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 The phone does store some temporary files in storage memory even though IE states 'Temporary files=0'. The files are also successfully deleted through IE. You can use File Manager and check under \Storage\Windows\Profiles\
Guest pauledmond Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 If it does store temp files, it must be doing it pretty unefficiently. Everytime I press the "back" button it reloads the whole previous page, which is time consuming, not to mention the additional cost...
Guest DSF Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 I think it's a bug in the browser... It's so annoying you have to wait each time for loading the whole page even if you go back to just visited page... oh, even my old R520 remember the last page :D And not to say that IE doesnt allow images saving (eh i know you can get the image from the Temporary folder, but who likes all the time to seek for wanted images in that folder?)... Opera is better.....

Guest gavboy Posted January 25, 2005 Report Posted January 25, 2005 Is there a temporary internet files folder for Opera?
Guest martin Posted January 25, 2005 Report Posted January 25, 2005 Can these files/folders be deleted at all? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You can delete then from Internet Explorer, Menu-Options-Memory. Temporary Files will incorrectly state 0 bytes but it will still delete them.
