Guest Killian Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 Hey all, ive had my c500 for 2months now and have had no problems. I've noticed lately tho that my signal is very temperemental, keeps dying in places where i've never had a problem on any other network. Could it just be poor reception on oranges side? If it is, i've heard of signal booster things that you can buy which you stick on the inside of your phone. Just wondered, do they actually work and if they do, any recommendations? Hope you can help. Killian
Guest marksurry Posted January 22, 2005 Report Posted January 22, 2005 I have to admit that my Orange C500 suffers very badly with signal strength. The network operator logo still shows on the screen (Orange) so I'm assuming that a signal is still present.
Guest Killian Posted January 24, 2005 Report Posted January 24, 2005 no, mine just completely goes. I can be out all night, then arrive home and get around 10 texts that have been sent to me while i'm out but not delivered. Can anyone respond about my other questions?

I've only seen one proper booster and that was for the American GSM networks and it was quite expensive. It was basically a fixed unit used to enhance indoor signal. You actually have to boost the signal in both directions (uplink and downlink) and you usually boost a strong signal into an area of weak signal. If you have a weak signal to start with then a booster isn't really going to help.
