Guest j_Starr Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 is true that nextel's Motorola i930 comes out this month if not does anyone know when it comes out??
Guest squall Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 ive not heard anything about that phone in a while, i wouldnt count on it being released this month!
Guest BeastDiesel Posted April 20, 2005 Report Posted April 20, 2005 Nextel blows why does it leave its customers with ancient technology that you have to wait for years to get only to pay an arm and a leg for? Why can't they have more companies to make there phones? WHy does motorola have a monopoly on the push to talk feature? wtf nextel sucks
Guest Roujinz Posted May 4, 2005 Report Posted May 4, 2005 I recently called Nextel and spoke with a sales person and they said that Nextel will NOT be releasing these phones. The sales person also said that other customers mentioned that they had bought the phone thru eBay and were using thier own sim cards with no problem, but that Nextel would not offer any support for this phone and that if you were to lose it or break it you would be out of luck. All I have to say is I still want one! Unfortunately it does not have Bluetooth, but it does have all that other cool stuff! ;)

The sales person was just giving you the run around because he or she did not have an answer to the question. I know for a fact that just in the past week the FCC just gave approval to Motorola for the i930 to be used on the Nextel networks. It is on the Motorola website and the FCC's website. And, we all know that once the FCC gives approval to a product you can almost bet that in a few months the product will be on the street. So, figure the end of the summer to get your hands on this puppy! At least that is where all of my sources are pointing to. I can't hardly wait. The one thing that is still a mystery is the price. I am sure it will be a pretty penny though.

Guest mikeybboardin Posted August 2, 2005 Report Posted August 2, 2005 Well... i can assure everyone that the i930 will be coming out... was hoping your site here would have something on this phone, it's a demo and I think i need to decertify it or something because none of the apps here work for it... and no skins or homescreens work either... only regular wallpapers
Guest Confucious Posted August 2, 2005 Report Posted August 2, 2005 Well... i can assure everyone that the i930 will be coming out... was hoping your site here would have something on this phone, it's a demo and I think i need to decertify it or something because none of the apps here work for it... and no skins or homescreens work either... only regular wallpapers Where did you get it and what makes you so certain that it will be released? Just because you have a pre-prod version doesn't mean it will ever come to market. It sounds like it's app locked - what network is it on and where did you get it from? What OS is it running? If it's 2003SE then you might be able to unlock it using the registry hacks as described for the C550.
Guest davecramer74 Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 its out next month per msnbc.com http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9505031/ The i930 will have a suggested retail price of $499.99 and should be available next month.

Guest cholo3k Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 I got it too. Has anyone figured out how to decertify it yet?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 I've not heard anything yet, but it may not happen unless the phone becomes more mainstream. Unfortunately that will probably not happen especially in Europe.
Guest gyos23 Posted November 3, 2005 Report Posted November 3, 2005 ;) its pretty hard to de-cert this phone...ive been around and seen people who have actually tried hackin into the system itself and changin it around to ummm lets say the beta version of the phone which was the only actual version of the phone that was completely de-certified. So what I see people trying to do is get a hold of the earlier version of the phone and copy the info off of it and paste the code on a post. Nothing's worked so far but theres alot of progress considerin the fact that this phone has only been out for a couple of weeks.
