Guest rizwuz Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 Everytime i take my sim out of the phone, i lose all the messages i received in the inbox or the ones i sent from Sent folder. Only those remain which are saved into the sim itself. i cant save all my messages to sim since there are over 300 in the inbox and the same in the sent items... and bcause of this, my phone becomes slow. i want to back up the messages (say in outlook) whenever i rech i point which becomes too much for the phone to handle. Please suggest how i can backup my messages. My email is [email protected]. Rana/28m.

Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 12, 2005 Report Posted February 12, 2005 Do you lose your messages etc when you turn the phone off or is it only when the SIM is removed? Do you really need to keep all your sent SMS etc as you will be filling the phones memory and this can cause other problems with partial resets etc.

Secondly, you are absolutely right, the messages do fill up the storage on the mobile, hence i would like to archieve them off the phone and may be onto my PC... which, if possible, i can browse on the PC rather than putting them back on to the mobile. Please help ([email protected]).

Guest rizwuz Posted April 19, 2005 Report Posted April 19, 2005 Thanks xenophobe and Disco Stu. I wil try this. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> RIZWUZ: Hi xenophobe and Disco Stu, i tried the Jeyo Mobile Companion 1.1 and was successfully able to connect to my mobile. I could view and delete content. But, although i deleted 2000 contacts and some 500 sms messgaes from my mobile, the space has not been releases and it show as if the data is still there. i had around 0.7MB left before i started deleting the contacts and sms and it still is the same space i.e. 0.78MB. Shouldnt it have become something like 3MB etc.
