Guest hasley Posted January 23, 2005 Report Posted January 23, 2005 Is there a way to adjust screen bright? With a registry tweak or something like that...
Guest Alex_le_brit Posted January 25, 2005 Report Posted January 25, 2005 Not that im aware of :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've wondered this, especially as on the original SPV, it seemed to have two brightness settings anyway, one when you first pusehd any button - or set the backlight to remain on, and one about 2 seconds before the backlight goes off. I know I'd like a dimmed phone, especially for watching Pocket TV, if you're watching it in the dark the screen is just too bright.
Guest hasley Posted January 25, 2005 Report Posted January 25, 2005 Looking the registry (HKLM I suposse) I dont see anything who seems to set the lcd bright level.. May be with a screen cover :D ... keep on trying...
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 26, 2005 Report Posted January 26, 2005 I know I'd like a dimmed phone, especially for watching Pocket TV, You should be able to adjust the brightness in Pocket Tv as you can with other movie aps like Pocket MVP etc.

There seems to be some sort of discussion HERE about it, but I don't know if they're thinking the same thing we are. I'd like to adjust the backlight because I've noticed that some films I'm watching when you have a dark scene the details wash out and it's almost as if there are reflections on the inside of the plastic screen cover.
Guest Shifty529 Posted August 26, 2005 Report Posted August 26, 2005 Has anyone found out a way of doing this yet? Having just spent a week on night shift in a dark and dingy part of the building you begin to realise how bright the screen is.
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 Here is a trick which does fine on my phone: http://www.gpcarreon.com/?p=12 If you can't notice any difference then you can always revert to default value of 1500.
