Guest Coolcom Posted January 24, 2005 Report Posted January 24, 2005 Motorolla MPx 200 flashed to the 2003 ROM. Installed both Active sync 3.8 and 3.7.1 (4034) and had the same problem on both. Currently, i have the 3.7.1 installed. Everytime i reboot the phone or my computer, my computer wont recongnize the phone, though my phone says its plugged and charging. I reinstall Active sync, reboot my computer and everything works..until i restart either the device or my computer, and the not connecting problem arrises. I run active sync from the phone, and sometimes it gives me "Error, cannot connect to PC" page w/ the Error code being 608. Other times, it says "Please check your proxy and firewall settings." Problem is..is that i dont have any proxy servers or firewalls installed. I do have a router firewall, though i dont think that is a problem. Does anyone know of any conflicts w/ the WM2003 and active sync problems similiar to what i described, and if so, could you please help me out. Much appreciated.

Guest Coolcom Posted January 24, 2005 Report Posted January 24, 2005 I have no software firewalls or proxies. One more thing...when i go into activesync and only check one folder to move, it doesnt obey and still moves only my inbox, no other folders or anything, despite what folders are checked. is there a fix or anything for that?
Guest Coolcom Posted January 25, 2005 Report Posted January 25, 2005 Now its even worse. I install active sync. Reboot my machine. Plug in phone, WinXP recognizes it and it syncs. Unplug phone. Couple hours later, plug phone in and it syncs. Unplug phone. Plug phone in after bout an hour, and my machine doesn't recognize anything. This keeps on happening, even after reinstall of active sync and reboot of machine... GRRR.. Does anyone have the WM2002 ROM? I'm kinda wanting to go back now.
