Guest alexis_winters17 Posted January 24, 2005 Report Posted January 24, 2005 (edited) Noticed something odd today. I can only adjust the volume (using the external buttons) of my handset "earpiece volume" using certain skins. (BTW, is there a way to do this internally?) i.e. Smooth Screen and Futurama all bring up the earpiece volume and change it. Any of kl1wdr's skins or ghost in the shell don't. Oh, and surprisingly, it doesn't work for the default orange skins or any of the windows skins. Little help? Please don't tell me I'm going to have to reinstall everything again... Also...I asked these earlier but got no reply...why is it you can use a WMA for a ringtone but not the alarm clock, and what cases do people use...? Edited January 24, 2005 by alexis_winters17
Guest squall Posted January 24, 2005 Report Posted January 24, 2005 to answer the second question you can use wma but its not as flexible when used for ringtones. Ie you have to edit the registery to detect the file on the sd card. It may pick it up automatically if you put it in storage/application data/Sounds All in all its best to use a .wav for the alarm!
Guest alexis_winters17 Posted January 24, 2005 Report Posted January 24, 2005 Currently I am using WMA in those folders, and a wav for the alarm clock. I have a reg editor but what would I have to do to play it off the SD card? Any ideas on my volume issue? It's really bothering me having my range of skins limited...
