imat sp3 (s500) o2 gprs

hi am a new member here,

i got a imate sp3 with 02 setting, it connects to gprs , but my msn never connects, it always says uncable to place call or server not respoding. i tried using agile messenger it keeps on saying unable to place call

any suggestion how to fix this...many thanks

Are you using O2 prepaid or contract ?

You should be able to connect with MSN messenger using Internet over GPRS on a contract sim but it may not work with WAP over GPRS on a preapid SIM.

using a pay as you go sim, but if the gprs is workin fine, then whats the problem that the msn dont connect

O2 have forced the WAP service (dialup and GPRS) via the proxy server and unfortunately the Messenger applications fail to use this connection.

You would be better with a PAYG SIM that gives an Internet service over GPRS rather than just WAP over GPRS. Something like Orange PAYG.

You get what you pay for I'm afraid :D
