Hi bluetooth help pleae. (again)

I have an spv c500 and today all my mate were sending each other files via bluetooth. I can turn bluetooth on/of or discoverable and my mates found me ok. The problem now is i can't seem to seach for contacts or send files?? Can someone enlighten me here??

When you select 'Send by IR / BT' it will automatically look for other devices
