where to buy c500 unlocked

i'm going to be in London next week and want to buy 2 spv c500.

They must be unlocked.

Any good places that you can suggest??

The C500 cannot be bought Sim unlocked but you can get them unlocked at www.imei-check.co.uk

as awarner said its no one sells it sim unlocked (unless you buy second hand)

all the unlocking shops use the imei-check web site to unlock the c500 anyway!

best bet is to get a p&g c500 from orange and unlock it yourself

Yes i know that but i don't live in England and according to modaco shop p&g must be registered to a uk address. That's my problem.

if you were to visit england you can buy them here from the orange shop, sim locked, then unlock them via the site and take it home.

if you are not intending to visit the uk then you could try ebay or expansys

The poin is that i read in modaco shop that pay&go spv c500 needs a registered uk address. Maybe i can convince the guys at the orange shop to create a address. :D

i cant remember shops making you register p&g phones when you are in the shop. I think you can buy the handset then take it away, but you have to register the sim before you can make calls

that wont be a problem for you if you put a sim from a different network in it

The modaco shop most likely arent allowed to deliver them aboard as a condition of being an orange distibuter

I purchased a payg c500 in belfast last week and I had to register it on the spot (they wouldn't let me take it home and register it). Don't know whether this is unusual or not for orange stores, but it might be worthwhile finding an address to which you can register it before you go into the store.

May I recommend the Belfast International Youth Hostel as one option :twisted:

When i bought my C500 from an orange shop, they took my address before they would let me have the phone....
