Just saw this on the Orange website, relates to a new contract on any 3g handset

"when you buy a 3G phone we'll give you 60 free Video Calling minutes and 50MB free data every month for 12 months"

So if you have a smartphone you've got to buy the gprs bundles which cost an arm and a leg!!! (one handed typing here, thanks Mr Orange)

but if you buy a 3g hanset you get 50MB a month!!!!!!!

Surely that is a bit harsh!

its just a special offer to promote 3g, when i first got my smartphone i had unlimited gprs, i cant complain that i dont have that anymore!

I was almost expecting "HELLO? I'M AT WORK. NO, IT'S RUBBISH!" in a TriggerHappy TV kinda-way!

(Floating further off-topic.....)

In terms of the features of the current crop of Orange 3G phones, I have to confess that the Nokia is far and away the better of them (that's not to say GOOD though).

But how ironic, and stupid of Nokia, and sums this all up, is the fact that in my opinion, the only phone with a decent OS etc, is also the only 3G phone that just happens to NOT allow video calls by virtue of only one fixed camera.

Way to go Fokia....

Reminds me of the time, when I was a die hard regular poster to the alt.cellular.nokia ng's way back when I was a Fokia pro, and Nokia at the time kept telling us how Bluetooth was not a priority for them, people wouldn't use it etc, hence why only the 6310i had it, and not all the new Colour phones like the 6610, 7250, 6100 etc....

Mmmmm, yeah right.

In my opinion, Fokia ALWAYS err far too much on the side of caution, not vision...
