Guest SilentBob Posted January 25, 2005 Report Posted January 25, 2005 I have a 128Mb SD card for my SPV E200. While trying to copy a large video file (via ActiveSync) it seems to have had a bit of a paddy. The file didn't copy. However, now, even when I delete all visible contents, it thinks it only has 20Mb free. I have tried viewing all files via ActiveSync, but there is nothing there. Also there seems to be no "Format" option (despite an Orange Data Services operator telling me there is). How can I format my SD card? Do I need to buy a card reader in order to do this? Also, have I had this problem because the SPV can't cope with copy large amounts of data properly? Do I also need a card reader for this? Any help appreciated. Thanks
Guest Disco Stu Posted January 25, 2005 Report Posted January 25, 2005 ActiveSync seems to have a habit of timing-out. A card reader will do the format for you but the newest version of Binarys Task Manager has the function too. http://www.binarys.com/ (the English pages can be accessed by the button top right)

I have downloaded and will install shortly. I guess I would still be best off buying a card reader/ writer though, if ActiveSync is going to constantly timeout. My intention is to copy films onto my card to watch on the train. Thanks again. :D
Guest Disco Stu Posted January 30, 2005 Report Posted January 30, 2005 You definitely need a card reader then.
Guest Confucious Posted January 30, 2005 Report Posted January 30, 2005 A card reader is a lot faster than ActiveSync and IMHO well worth it if you are copying lots of data.
