c500 hardware-extra battery & charging

hi,

Im thinking of getting an extra (spare) battery for when i go on holiday.

1. Anyone else bought one?

2. How much for ?

3. Also do we really have to charge it in the phone? what a pain that is.

4. Do we know how long a full charge takes?

5. does it charge quicker when the phone is off? or better on mains than USB?

I have not bought a spare, but to answer some of your questions

you need to charge in the phone unless you can provide the correct voltage and current from a different source. Its very difficult to work out the correct levels, (i suppose you could measure them) and there are no charging stations or similar on sale

a full charge takes around 4 hours i think :?

the phone should charge at more or less the same rate whether the phone is off or on. Mains does charge quicker than most usb ports (due to limited current in the usb port)
