Guest Godfather Posted January 26, 2005 Report Posted January 26, 2005 I got a jabra bluetooth headset the 250 headset and I carry my smt 5600 phone in the pouch itcame with. I always lock the keys so it doesn't press buttons in the pouch. But when the phone is locked I cant enable the voice dial through the headset. Is there away around this besides unlocking the keys?
Guest Leaskovski Posted January 26, 2005 Report Posted January 26, 2005 Well done, you have managed to find the most anoying bug with this phone.  No get inline to smack orange in the face to get them to include a fix for it in the next rom update (probably will never fix it  ) Sorry
Guest yoos Posted January 26, 2005 Report Posted January 26, 2005 Someone please find a workaround [-o
Guest Navec245 Posted January 29, 2005 Report Posted January 29, 2005 A lot has been said of the lack of ability to use voice tags when the SMT 5600 phone is locked. This solution works IF you are in the US AND a customer of AT&T. AT&T has voice dial for anyphone using a feature called #121. Dialing this, for a fee, will enable any phone to work using a voice dial program. The Motorola HS820 Bluetooth Headset will allow you to dial the last number entered when the phone is locked by using a long key press on the headset. If you dial #121 and then lock the phone, the long key press will always dial #121. It works pretty flawlessly, though I am not sure that I will keep this feature. I am using the 30 day trial period to decide.

What makes me laugh tho is that they say it was designed that way so that you can't dial out when the phone is locked, so why o why can you dial the last number called by holding down the dial button for 2 seconds. This doesn't make sense as you would then be making an actuall call where as if the voice dial is activated your not making a call unless you say the tag correctly. Explain that one designers?? Did think of that now did they?? idiots!
Guest mkent_barbados Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 Any update on this? Same problem with the SP3i
Guest Godfather Posted June 15, 2005 Report Posted June 15, 2005 Ya seriously this is the most dumbest thing ever! You can dial the last number but not use voice tags. Just when you think you found the dumbest thing ever, there is always something else to top it. :sigh:
