I have no problem dialling a mobile number from my contacts as long as it does not have the +44 prefix. If it does I get a phone error and have to remove the prefix. It doesn't matter wether or not there is a space between prefix and number.

Why does this matter?

Well Outlook likes to automatically put in +44 prefixed numbers.

Also caller ID with texts only works it seems if the contact has the +44 prefix, and Orange can convert your numbers to +44 prefixes for a fee....but if you can't then use them what's the ponit.

AmI missing something? Do others have this problem too?

Definitely a bug on your particular handset!

A drastic fix would be to try a hard reset?

Since I did a hard reset and put the phone into

un-certified mode ;) I now have the same proble :? :?:

I now have to remove the +44 inorder to make a call

this is for all numbers landline and mobile?

Also since doing the reset my phone has gone abit quirky

I've had Chewi's problem yesterday, of the alarm only going off on the second time round? but it was ok today?

Stange as I never had any problems before over the past two months.
