Guest Robbo85 Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 Hi guys, good site you've got here, I've looked about for this and found the following info below, however I can't get it to work, one of the main reasons i bought this phone was the capabilities like MSN on the move, and I can't use it. I have a O2 PAYG (300 free txts thing) and running on a unlocked SPV C500, everything is great apart from I can't get Picture mesaging, MSN or the Internet working on it. I put in the following below, but thats about as far as I got, any further information is greatly appreciated, thank you. start ->settings -> data connections -> meun connections - gprs connections (3 are needed) Internet connects to: the internet access point: mobile.o2.co.uk username: mobileweb pwd: password (leave DNS blank if it doesnt connect to the internet then add 193.113.200.200 and 193.113.200.201) WAP connects to: WAP Network access point: wap.o2.co.uk username: o2wap pwd: password MMS connects to: secure wap network access point: wap.o2.co.uk username: o2wap pwd: password Go back to Connections and set up a proxy connection O2 Proxy connects from: internet Connects to: WAP Network Proxy: 193.113.200.195:9201 Type: WAP Go back to Data Connection page (done twice) Gprs Connections Internet Connection: Internet Work connection: automatic WAP connection: wap Secure Wap Connection: MMS then Press the Home key
Guest squall Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 Try this thread, It should work for you http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=119575
Guest Tunney Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 Take your phone to an o2 store or phone them up. They should be able to tell you all of the settings. As for MSN, it's unlikely to work. O2 uses two access points for internet access - O2 WAP GPRS (for web-browsing, with most ports blocked) and O2 MOBILE WEB (primarily designed for e-mail, but works with MSN). Unfortunately, O2 MOBILE WEB is only available to people on pay monthly tariffs.
