Sorry - Bluetooth again! I can send files to my mates samsung d500. When he tries to send to me he can find my phone - but when he presses connect it says fails to connect.

I have Receive incoming beams ticked. I have newest rom - phone is only a week old.

Is this a problem between these particular handsets or are there many such problems?

recive incoming beam is for infrared...

you should go to settings>bluetooth and select discovarable and it should work...

i have the same problem.

from my SDA (= imate SP3i) i can send and receive files from a SE610, nokia 6230, Moto V550 etc, but i only can send files to a D500

the d500 also can transfer with all these phones.

it doesnt work on 'BT discoverable' and also not on 'BT on'

the d500 can find and connect to my phone but when the transfer is started, it interrupts

Have you checked the BT Serial Port Setup in Configurations. Your incoming port may need to be set up.

it wasnt set up, now it is set to COM6

tomorror i'll try a new connection :-)

why has it to be set up only for the D500?

I work at The Link and for some reason the D500 is the only phone that wont send bluetooth files to a C500. Dont know why, think it's a Samsung thing. We just gave up in the end.

must be a special samsung <-> HTC thing because all other mobiles can connect with them. there is the same problem with a tcom XDA-PDA that is also made by HTC.

i hope today i can test this COM-Port-thing, mentioned in an earlier posting

FALSE !!! it activates OBEX Object Push service for Bluetooth AND InfraRed ! if unactivated, you cannot receive files by BT or IR.
