Turn off the flashing LED

This might be a stupid question but is there anyway to turn off the flashing LED on the SPV C500? Why, well I need to leave my phone on over night (I'm on call more's the pity) and it's like sleeping next to a lighthouse. I know I could just put the phone down but heh I thought I'd ask. :?:

It's not possible to turn it off but as you say just turn the phone upside down :D

It's what I do as I use the phone as my alarm clock.
