Guest Liquidice Posted January 29, 2005 Report Posted January 29, 2005 Doesnt SP3/C500 support mp3 as ringtone? If i put a mp3 in "\storage\aplicationdata\sounds" it doesnt appear in the settings->sounds. could it be cause its asociated with WMP? in that case how do i unasociat it?
Guest squall Posted January 29, 2005 Report Posted January 29, 2005 the c500 does not support mp3 im afraid. I dont know about the sp3. The smt5600 (same hardware as c500, but different software) does support mp3 You need to convert the mp3's to wma's.
Guest martin Posted January 29, 2005 Report Posted January 29, 2005 The C500 is setup to play MP4 ringtones by default if that's any help. I use the itunes software to convert a song from CD and then place the file in \Storage card\My documents. It would be better with the songs shortened to 30 seconds as that's the max length most networks use for ring timeout but I haven't attempted that yet - too lazy :D
Guest Confucious Posted January 29, 2005 Report Posted January 29, 2005 C500 also supports WMA files as ringtones. Attached is what I use :Danswer_me.zip
Guest Pennan Posted January 29, 2005 Report Posted January 29, 2005 MP3 ring tones will be supported on Qtek 8010/Orange C500/i-mate SP3 when/if an update with Windows Media Player 10 Mobile is released. The Audiovox SMT5600 already has this update.

Guest squall Posted January 30, 2005 Report Posted January 30, 2005 you can put wma/wav files on the storage card and they will be picked up automatically.
