I have the E200 and the range of the bluetooth is not as good as on other phones I have tested my BT headset with. Does any of you happy C500 owners have a say on this, is the range better or still very crappy?

I sometimes find that if I put the phone in the cradle, which makes it charge, this will give a larger range.

The way I feel that the range is limited is the quality of the sound in my headset.

the c500 and e200 are class 2 meaning they have a range of around 10 meters, i dont use bt that often but i havent noticed any big differences in the range of the two phones

If I have my e200 in the pocket of my trousers it has troubles to deliver a good signal, I have it in the same side as I use my BT earpiece.

With a K700i I got a crisp signal with no noise and with a T68i I got the same signal quality, this leads me to believe the range of the E200 is somewhat limited.

Any others who have the same experience as me or a good explanation to why I get worse quality with my E200?

Tested it some more tonight. It seems that the E200 only has this problem when I have it in my pocket of my pants, if I put it on a table and sit further away, the quality is again great.

I had in a pocket of my sweat shirt which gave me a great quality again.

Any suggestion to what my pockets in my pants do wrong

Does anyone know where the Bt antenna is located in the phone?

Only thing I can think of is that the phone is in a vertical position when I experience these problems and when it is horisontal in my sweatshirt pocket or on the table everything works fine.... :?:

Hope anyone has an explanation....

I couldn't begin to comment on what's in your trousers...

but from my experience the C500's range is hugely better. Whereas my headset (SE HBH35) would go crackly at more than about 30cm from my E200, i can easily go some distance away (over 5m and a wall) without any interference with the C500. Yet another reason to upgrade!
