Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted January 30, 2005 Report Posted January 30, 2005 Hi. Welcome to MoDaCo. :D 1. Do not extract cab file contents on your PC but instead sync phone to PC, copy CAB file to this directory: \Storage\windows\Start Menu\Accessories. Once copied to phone, go to Start > Accesories then look for the Cab file. Highlight the file then press Action button. Installation should begin. 2. Open the program on your phone nmed 'SIM Manager'. Your SIM contacts should be detected by the program. Hit Menu > Select All > Add to Contacts. EDIT: If you cant find the SIM Manager link on your Start Menu folder, fire up File Manager then open \Windows. Look for the file named 'SIMMgr.exe' then execute the file. The should launch SIM Manager program. I hope that helps.
Guest squall Posted January 30, 2005 Report Posted January 30, 2005 there is a guide for installing cabs at http://www.wmdevices.com/sitepics/cab.swf would be interested to know if this works for you!

Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted January 30, 2005 Report Posted January 30, 2005 SPV e200 without a built-in SIM Manager? That's new to me. My e100 and C500 have that program and didn't expect that to be missed out in the Voyager. Double check using ActiveSync. Open \Windows then look for the SIMMgr.exe. If there is one inside Windows folder, highlight the file then right-click mouse then choose Create Shortcut. Copy 'Shortcut to SIMMgr.exe' to \Storage\windows\Start Menu. Hold phone, hit Start then look for 'Shortcut to SIMMgr' from the list. Moved to Help and Advice.
Guest Ease_the_pain Posted January 30, 2005 Report Posted January 30, 2005  Me and my wife and my friend search like this  all windows data in my phone line by line with activesync and then I perform the search in XP for all my comp. data.No way. If there is a way to show you phone's windows screen tell me ll do it:)
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted January 30, 2005 Report Posted January 30, 2005 Relax. Try this one... 1. Open 'My Documents' folder on your PC 2. Open Tools > Folder Options 3. Open 'View' tab (General...View...File Types...Offline Files) 4. Mark 'Show Hidden Files or Folders' , untick 'Hide Extensions for known file types' 5. Click Apply. 6. Open ActiveSync...explore Device then browse to \Windows directory 7. You should now see 'SIMMgr.exe' inside the folder. 8. Create shortcut to that file then dump to your Start Menu folder (phone)

After some googling, i tried the contents of the zip file posted in this forum, but i still can't get it to run. Anyone managed to move sim manager from one smartphone to another? or does anyone have a cab or installer to hand? thanks El.

Anyone managed to move sim manager from one smartphone to another? or does anyone have a cab or installer to hand? thanks El. try to use the SDA Application Unlocker in your C500 so you can copy the SIMManager files in your PC then transfer it to your SP5 device... please use the search button for the said app as i'm having a slow dial-up connection in my home PC... or better yet go to www.gpcarreon.com and try to find the article about the SDA Application...
