Hi. Welcome to MoDaCo. :D

1. Do not extract cab file contents on your PC but instead sync phone to PC, copy CAB file to this directory: \Storage\windows\Start Menu\Accessories. Once copied to phone, go to Start > Accesories then look for the Cab file. Highlight the file then press Action button. Installation should begin.

2. Open the program on your phone nmed 'SIM Manager'. Your SIM contacts should be detected by the program. Hit Menu > Select All > Add to Contacts.

EDIT:

If you cant find the SIM Manager link on your Start Menu folder, fire up File Manager then open \Windows. Look for the file named 'SIMMgr.exe' then execute the file. The should launch SIM Manager program.

I hope that helps.

Friends , its strange that I can't find a solution about the sim manager. Here is the info;

- My phone is orange SPV E200

- I just unlocked it , with the Orange v.2.7.5.1+ unlockzip( got the info from the modaco:) and I am using it another operator's simcard.

-my phone is workin well without problem

- But my friends believe me there is no option or way to copy all my sim card entries to phone. There is only one option; you must copy all my entries to phone ONE BY ONE!

I search all my phonedata inc. windows , there is noting like simmanager. exe or similar(SIMMgr.exe) thing.IN the sim contact here is the active menu options1- new contact 2- new sim contact 3-delete4-beam contact(inactive)5-filter if you click one contact menu options are;save contact list( it allows to you pick only one person from sim contacts. Please help me

SPV e200 without a built-in SIM Manager? That's new to me. My e100 and C500 have that program and didn't expect that to be missed out in the Voyager.

Double check using ActiveSync. Open \Windows then look for the SIMMgr.exe. If there is one inside Windows folder, highlight the file then right-click mouse then choose Create Shortcut.

Copy 'Shortcut to SIMMgr.exe' to \Storage\windows\Start Menu. Hold phone, hit Start then look for 'Shortcut to SIMMgr' from the list.

Moved to Help and Advice.

Relax. Try this one...

1. Open 'My Documents' folder on your PC

2. Open Tools > Folder Options

3. Open 'View' tab (General...View...File Types...Offline Files)

4. Mark 'Show Hidden Files or Folders' , untick 'Hide Extensions for known file types'

5. Click Apply.

6. Open ActiveSync...explore Device then browse to \Windows directory

7. You should now see 'SIMMgr.exe' inside the folder.

8. Create shortcut to that file then dump to your Start Menu folder (phone)

Hi all,

i could do with SIM Manager on my SP5. i have an orange C500 with it on, but it doesn't seem to be as easy as copying the exe across.

After some googling, i tried the contents of the zip file posted in this forum, but i still can't get it to run.

Anyone managed to move sim manager from one smartphone to another? or does anyone have a cab or installer to hand?

thanks

El.

try to use the SDA Application Unlocker in your C500 so you can copy the SIMManager files in your PC then transfer it to your SP5 device...

please use the search button for the said app as i'm having a slow dial-up connection in my home PC...

or better yet go to www.gpcarreon.com and try to find the article about the SDA Application...
