Guest tcaland Posted January 31, 2005 Report Posted January 31, 2005 Hi everybody, I am just bought a brand new SPV C500 from ebay.co.uk, but I am italian and I am wondering if in the Uk version I can switch the menu and T9 language to italian too. If that is not possible, Can I upload the firmware of Swiss version that has the Italian in the ROM??? One more question. The SPV I bought is brand new so I got 1 year of warranty. Is that valid in italy too?? If not, can I ship it for example in swiss where Orange operator is available??? Thanks in advance Best Tony

My SPV C500 on Orange UK has Italian for both T9 and menus. If yours has the same ROM, chances are that you can. To select Italian fot T9, when composing an SMS or e-mail, press and hold the * key. You'll get a menu, select T9 Languages, the T9 Italian. It will remember the setting for the future. To select the phone interface (menus etc.) in Italian, go to the Start menu, choose Settings, select "More...", select "Regional Settings" and, in the "Language" box, select Italian. Restart the phone.

Guest tudor Posted January 31, 2005 Report Posted January 31, 2005 Orange ROMs always contain the same language pack, incliuding italian for both menus and T9... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ... or not. SPV C500 on Orange Romania has English, German, French, Romanian, Slovak, Polish & Hungarian, according to this thread.

That's the point I was making, that it is possible to be a "special" version, as you like to call it. Anyway, I believe it's possible to flash it with a 4.1.1.4 ROM from Orange UK.
