Guest mikegregory78 Posted January 31, 2005 Report Posted January 31, 2005 Hey people hope someone can help! Have have got a C500 and a Jabra 250 headset. They work great together expect for the voice dialing feature. I can press the headset button and it gives me the beep command, I say the person I want and it works and starts to call the person. At this point though the headset seems to disconnect so the call is made on the handset. Grrrrrr It works fine if I dial from the phone etc. Hope someone can help because Orange are as much use as soggy bog paper. hope to hear from anyone thanks mike.
Guest Chaser81 Posted January 31, 2005 Report Posted January 31, 2005 Its probably a profiles problem. Someone will undoubtedly correct me if I am wrong but I think the C500 supports the Bluetooth Headset profile, not Handsfree profile, which is needed for voicedialling.
Guest spenh Posted February 3, 2005 Report Posted February 3, 2005 i use jabra 250 headset with c500 and have no problems useing voice dialing function, got to the point now where headset is permantly stuck in my ear and phone in my pocket, try unpairing the devices . then pair the devices again. once devices are paired go back in the devices scroll down to jabra bt250 click on the menu button and select option 4 set as hands free. then try voice dialing again.
Guest marksurry Posted February 8, 2005 Report Posted February 8, 2005 I have the same problem with my C500 and Jabra BT200. Press the "make call" button on the Jabra, say the name and it makes the call through the handset and removes the headset icon from the screen. Works fine dialling from the phone though. Grrrr as Mike put it !!!

Guest marksurry Posted February 9, 2005 Report Posted February 9, 2005 @Strecthy. Thanks for your advice. If the keypad lock is on you can't voice dial at all for some reason. With the keypad lock off voice dial works but makes the call through the handset, not the headset. Makes me MAD !!!
Guest stretchy Posted February 9, 2005 Report Posted February 9, 2005 No probs Mark, my headset is the cheap one from argos £29.99 it seems to work ok, voice dialing works ok anyway, mind you Iv'e not compared it with any other headsets so it could be a piece of s*@#!
