Sms problem need help very urgent

Hi there i need help i am not able to send sms , there is only numerical words coming ,

N Alphabetical words are not at all coming

I know there will be sign also coming next to network area , but the worst point is that even that is indicating .

Kindly help me in sorting out this problem please

The phone what i got is i-Mate Smartphone 2002

but the worst problem is that , there is nothng sort of indication coming on the top right hand side next to the network button in my phone

N going to message setting i am not able to find anything

It will be very help full if u give me a detail how to use it
