Guest vickers65 Posted January 31, 2005 Report Posted January 31, 2005 Plz help me! I've had O2 (Genie contract) WAP working previously on my E100 but after a hard reset I couldn't get WAP to connect again. I now have an E200, and am having the same problem. I simply get "The page you are lookng for cannot be found", even though any of the sites tried can be connected to on another sim card/phone. I have tried every single setting available to me but none of them will connect. Any help would be more than appreciated. Cheers
Guest martin Posted January 31, 2005 Report Posted January 31, 2005 vickers65 Try something like this :D (best to delete all existing Dialup, Proxy and GPRS connections first) 1) Start>Settings>Data Connections>Menu>Edit Connections Create Dialup connection (Menu-New) Description: O2 CSD WAP Connects to: The Internet Phone number: +447712927927 User name: geniewap Password: password Domain: blank Create GPRS connection (Menu-New) Description: O2 GPRS WAP Connects to: The Internet Access point: wap.o2.co.uk Username: geniewap Password: password Primary DNS: 0.0.0.0 Secondary DNS: 0.0.0.0 I.P address: blank Create Proxy connection (Menu-New) Description: O2 WAP proxy Connects from: The Internet Connects to: WAP Network Proxy(name:port): 193.113.200.195:8080 Type: HTTP Username: Password: In the main data connections menu. WAP connection: O2 GPRS WAP or (O2 CSD WAP) In Internet explorer, Menu-Options-Connections, Untick 'automatically detect settings' and make 'Select Network: WAP network'. For MMS setup try the following Create GPRS connection (Menu-Add) Description: O2 MMS Connects to: MMS Network (or Work connection) Access point: wap.o2.co.uk Username: geniewap Password: password Primary DNS: 0.0.0.0 Secondary DNS: 0.0.0.0 I.P address: blank Settings Accessories-MMS setup Description: O2 MMS I.P Address: 193.113.200.195 Port: 9201 MMSC Address: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002
