Guest Paul H Posted January 31, 2005 Report Posted January 31, 2005 Hi, We currently have a new Golf Scoring application in development called mCaddy for Smartphone and Pocket PC. This will essentially be a fairly simple application to allow you to easily keep track of your score whilst you go round the golf course. Basic features of mCaddy at launch will include: - * Keep track of your round score (strokes & putts) * Instant on-course access to common tips and fixes - you can modify or add to these to suit your game * Download course files from the internet or add your own * Add notes to a course or individual holes * Upload your course to the mCaddy website via SMS or GPRS to keep a central record * Estimated price of £10 - £15 We will be looking for beta testers in the near future so please let me know if you'd like to take part. Beta Testers will get a discount on the full product on release. Also, if you have any suggestions for what you'd like it to see mCaddy do, please let me know. Regards Paul Hulatt dotQ
Guest McHale Posted January 31, 2005 Report Posted January 31, 2005 without seeing it, I will probably be redundant. But here's a few things I would like to see: 1. The ability to create a course and enter all the information in ahead of time (or on the fly as I play) so when I'm done, I'll know my score, number of putts, and each hole with number of shots/putts. 2. It will keep a running tally (if I chose) so it figures my handicap. Also, I would like to see how I did on Course A every time I play so I can see if I'm improving or not. 3. At the end of a round, the guys I play with and I run bets on score, number of putts, and number of holes won. I would like to have a summary screen to view this against all players. I'm sure I'll think of more soon. It's winter here and I haven't played since November. :D -Mc
Guest MaJiK Posted January 31, 2005 Report Posted January 31, 2005 Nice, I just joined a golf course last month and would really like to help beta test this. Can you add me to the testers list please? SPV c500, 256mb Mini-SD, latest Orange UK ROM
Guest McHale Posted February 22, 2005 Report Posted February 22, 2005 one of the golf courses I visit has GPS enabled carts. It knows the course by the GPS and tells you how far to the hole as well. With GPS enabled handsets, this may be something to look into -Mc
