Insurance Claim?

I have a c500 and Orange Care insurance which incidentally is due to expire shortly (11 Feb 05).

Anyway a few days ago I dropped the phone and managed to scratch the screen :cry:

There's also a a growing dust problem under the screen :x

The phone still functions normally but is there anyway I could claim under the insurance?

dust is not covered, but damage should be, it will cost you £15 excess

scratch is not covered i think because it says that only if the damage affects use of the phone is it covered

unless your phone has a really bad dust problem, and the scratch is also a big problem, i dont think they will replace it

i do not approve of people lying to orange to get replacement phones but since there new methods of charging us for everything plus an excess for each claim they are open to it, i am a plasterer and have had all the spv's and would be lost without it and have always had dust in the phones after a few weeks even with good cases on them but lukily for me i am always dropping mine in buckets of water or plaster so i go through a few phones a year . try doing some diy? but please do not lie to them break it yes but not lie coz they only check out the fault you report thend send it out again so a dodgy phone can be sent to someone like i have had.....

and before everyone starts saying its people like me that is making us all pay , no not really i use the insurance i pay for and also have high phone bills i am a business user and its the people doing scams to sell on the phones who puts the insurance up not people using it for what it is. all the guys i work with have the same problem as me we all have a claim every month or two but then some people will not claim for years. i am still offered the service everytime i upgrade to yet another spv and have even paid for them not getting free phones. orange will always get our money its what they want ..
