Guest beersoft Posted February 5, 2005 Report Posted February 5, 2005 all you need to do is copy the cab file to /ipsm/windows/start menu/ or /storage/windows/start menu/ then click on it from the programs menu later Owen
Guest Goatfaced Posted February 17, 2005 Report Posted February 17, 2005 Cool App, and very useful, I have been using it alot. However I am not sure what all the figures mean i.e Fastest / Slowest / Average / Last / Current? Can you give me an explanation please. Cheers, Goatfaced.
Guest beersoft Posted February 17, 2005 Report Posted February 17, 2005 ok, the magic numbers mean fastest is the quickest time the phone has used 1% of battery (somewhere between 2 and 11 is normal) slowest is the longest amount of time the battery has used 1% in (somewhere between 45 and 3 hours is average) average is the average of the fastest, slowest current and last and current/last is just what its doing at the moment, and what the last one was later Owen
Guest ysk168 Posted February 21, 2005 Report Posted February 21, 2005 all you need to do is copy the cab file to /ipsm/windows/start menu/ or /storage/windows/start menu/ then click on it from the programs menu later Owen <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What a great Freeware...thanks very much!! Guest Peterade Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 When I downloaded the file it cam up as a Zip file on my PC. Then I couldn't unzip it. What do I need to do to get the file to copy from my PC to my C500? Thanks :D
Guest squall Posted March 12, 2005 Report Posted March 12, 2005 its a .cab file, not a .zip file copy the .cab file to: mobile device/my smartphone / storage/ windows/start menu then on the phone look in the menu, you will see the file. run it

Guest moo Posted June 3, 2005 Report Posted June 3, 2005 Dear Beersoft. I installed your app and found it to be excellent and very easy to use, however I have a question regarding the numbers. My phone is an SMT 5600 suposed to last 140 hours on stand by, but I get about 1 day. The numbers I get are as follows: Battery: 83% Fastest: oh:2m Slowest: 2h:14m Average: 2h:22m last: 0h:1m current: 0h:19m Time Left 1d:18h:3m Time Running 7h:17m Are them correct or is there a problem with my phone or battery? Thanks

How can it be?: Battery: 71% Fastest: 0d 0h 4m Slowest 0d 3h 34m Average: 0d 5h 31m ???? Last: 0d 0h 11m Current: 0d 0h 15m Time left: 5d 17h 26m ???? Time running: 0d 18h 25m How can average value be bigger than slowest value? :) Can you give the way, how it calculates the average value? But... graet soft anyway :D TIA
Guest frugala Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 (edited) Dear Beersoft. I installed your app and found it to be excellent and very easy to use, however I have a question regarding the numbers. My phone is an SMT 5600 suposed to last 140 hours on stand by, but I get about 1 day. Thanks <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Try turning off Bluetooth, that eats up a lot of battery. This is a neat app. I assume the OS tracks the battery capacity, and simply reports to you the percentage. But does the OS keep track of the time between % readings, or do you have to track that? It is interesting that if I never turn on the screen, it could last 12 days. Has anyone written up how much current draw there is to doing different tasks? (IE: Screen on bright = 25 mA. Screen dim = 20 mA. Screen OFF and no program running = 1 mA, running DOOM = 50 mA, etc.) (Hey those were just examples NOT REAL DATA) Edited October 2, 2005 by frugala

Bob <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Once again bobby it is a cab file not a zip. ;) Don't extract the archive move it to the start menu of your phone and click on it - it will extract itself and install - have a look at what Disco Stu said in the other threads you posted in. :D

Guest beersoft Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 I copied it to my start menu, clicked and nothing happened, load of rubbish. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> the cab file? did it ask to install anything? did you restart your phone afterwards? did you think posting a rude request for help would make us want to help? later Owen
Guest warrenokane Posted November 7, 2005 Report Posted November 7, 2005 Sorry, didn't mean to be rude, I was being flippant. It appears the only rubbish thing involved was me, I've now got it working. the cab file? did it ask to install anything? did you restart your phone afterwards? did you think posting a rude request for help would make us want to help? later Owen <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Guest leobg Posted January 23, 2006 Report Posted January 23, 2006 The program is very nice! I just tried it on my i-mate SP5 - seems to be working ok (will post updates if I found anything strange). This is actually the first program I've found that can estimate run time on HTC Tornado (WM5) devices which is excellent! Beersoft, could I aks you couple of questions - program runs always in background and collects statistics data and this is the way it estimates runtime remaining based on battery charge % - right? If so - does program load somehow on startup meaning not necessary to run it right after reset in order to start collecting data? (I didn't see it in memory when I restarted the phone) Thanks again for the nice tool!
Guest sveintore Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 I don't get any values, just a square instead of the value..
Guest beersoft Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 ok What phone you using? I havent personaly tested it on any WM5 devices but people have had had it working If you can give us some more info we can get it working later Owen
