Guest MythMaker Posted February 1, 2005 Report Posted February 1, 2005 (edited) Is there a setting to stop the phone from hanging up the call when closed? I have a bluetooth headset and I don't want to have to keep the phone open when in use. It would be very nice if you could use the voice dial / speakerphone as well when the phone is closed, but it doesn't appear that is possible for some reason either? Any suggestions or ideas? MythMaker <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have no problem with that. Dial the number, wait for the connection to be established (your hear it click in the earphone before the ringing starts), then close it. The connection will stay up until you terminate it via the button on the BT earphone. At this time, the Microsoft Bluetooth stack used in the MPx220 does NOT allow voice dialing. You have to open the phone, voice dial, wait for the connection to be established then close it. Pain, but doable.

Any ideas why that would be happening? I have the cingular branded unit with the 1.3 fw MM
Guest stealthd2 Posted February 2, 2005 Report Posted February 2, 2005 i want it to be like a nextel phone when u can choose who to call with the ext display and call them using speakerphone that would be great.
Guest MythMaker Posted February 2, 2005 Report Posted February 2, 2005 It appears I was wrong. I tried it again and this time if I waited for it to ring I could close it and it was still connected. Now if someone could figure out how to load a bluetooth stack that supports the voice recg. over bluetooth I would be set.
Guest batha Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 I have read that supposedly Widdcomm is working on a new BT stack that will fix this problem. Who knows. If you find out please let the rest of us know. That is the only thing this phone is missing.
