Since mobile fun don't appear to have them anymore, any one know where I can get an adaptor so I can use my normal headphones with my c500?

thanks!

(And try not to say ebay...)

MoDaCo Shop sells them though you'll have to buy more than one to get over the minimum order level. High street shops like Maplins sell them

There is an adaptor on mobilefun which i am going to buy, think it should work with the c500 even though its not listed in the list of compatible devices.

@Fulani

It still stuck? Did you try another handsfree (like a Motorola or Samsung one)? Plugging in one and slowly pulling it out fixed my C500 straight away.

No, I tried Motorola, Nokia and NEC jacks, as well as an unbranded one - so much I was in danger of wearing out the socket..

I took it back to the Orange shop where I bought it from and they've taken off me for warranty repair.

So for now, stuck with the N-Gage - not that it's not a great phone, but nothing beats a C500!

Make sure you get a 4-pole adaptor. I bought a 3-pole one by mistake and it doesn't mute the earpiece.

I got one of these: http://www.pc-mobile.net/spvaa.htm - they weren't sure if it was compatible with the C500 but I bought one anyway and can confirm that everything works as normal apart from the phone doesn't switch into the headset profile when you plug it in. Personally I can live with that...
