My SPV E100 wont boot up, can u help please

Hi there.

I have a SPV E 100 and it has suddenly stopped booting up. I power it up and it sticks at the Orange, orange sunset screen and goes no further.

I have tried to do a "Hard reset" as advised by on sister site, Im not sure if Im doing this right, but it does not seem to work. It also gets stuck at the "Card Found" screen.

Anyone help please ?

Welcome to the site :D

A hard reset is what is needed.

It should not get stuck on card found, have you tried following the instructions here

Don't know if anyone can help. I have read this site and have done the Orange 1.6 upgrade via Canary screen.

Before I did the upgrade it said Camaryv1.00

It now says v1.10 in Canary

It is still getting stuck at the Orange Sunset screen though.

Please help this driving me mad !!!

Sorry, posted at same time.

If my SD Card is in the phone, it sticks at Card Found.

If I take the SD Card out, I can get the menus up.

I have done option 8.

Then rebooted.

Whenever i turn phone back on though it still gets no further than the orange sunset screen.

You will need to re-run the update again as a hard reset is not working.

Do I run directly from Orange site, the 1.6 upgrade ?

Canary MV on at mo, it says v 1.10

Ive done hard resets twice

Upgraded software twice

Still gets stuck on Orange Sunset

Think the phone may be kaput !

try running update with power lead in the cradle plugged in and strangely the cd rom in also i had similar prob and this is all that worked
