Guest fulani Posted February 1, 2005 Report Posted February 1, 2005 Um - as it says. The headset profile has stuck on. I've tried plugging and unplugging the headset, restarting the phone, removing the battery (and removing it for ages), starting with the headset in, starting it with the USB cable in, nothing seems to matter... Anyone else got this problem? Apologies if it's a common problem, but I couldn't find it in the FAQ or the bug list...

I tried not to make a new topic, but like I said, I searched, and did not find.

Guest Chaser81 Posted February 1, 2005 Report Posted February 1, 2005 (edited) Look at my edit to my post above. :arrowu: When you do a search using the words "Stuck Headset Profile" (without the quote marks), make sure you are searching All forums and then scroll about half way down for the first topic, the rest are on the second and third pages of the search results, and are dead easy to spot. Here's a handy quote from one of them which might help with your problem: "Just for future info... This has always been a common problem with all SPV's, and is usually one of the following.. 1) A corrupt XML (Profile) file in the root windows folder 2) Profile settings name change (Ie, active profile has been changed, duplicates are allowed) 3) The small plug detect switch about .5 cm inside the socket is stuck. Keep smilinn..." Incidentally, I had this problem on my C500 before I got rid of it, only happened the once, and I found it easily solved by plugging a Motorola handsfree (in theory also a 2.5mm jack but must be slightly off) in and slowly pulling it back out.
