Screen is dark when a reminder goes off

Hi

Whenever I have a reminder that goes off, the screen on my Qtek 8010 is not lit. Due to this it is extremely difficult to read what is all about (unless you remeber it). When I press the left soft key to unlock the keypad, the reminder immediately disappear so therefore I most often have to check my calendar.

Does anyone know if you could get the screen to be lit when a reminder goes off?

Yes, that's a really annoying thing. My C500 does the same. It is a "built-in feature" :D

Good thing that I set reminders for daytime only, so I can read them, the screen being a bit reflective.

Another annoying thing: when I activate a hotkey to start a program, it opens the "dial" dialog, which is left open despite the fact that the hotkey was for an application.

I noticed today that when the kepad is unlocked then the screen is lit when a reminder goes off. When the keypad is locked it is not lit. Really annoying if this could not be changed! :twisted:

Use the backlite.exe from developer site here, baklite always on half power, when preset time for backlight is over.

If keypad locked, and screen completely black:

- Press the right soft key once to wake up the display, but the backlight is still off.

- Press the right soft key again to bring up the menu (still hard to see, but look closely)

- Press the left softkey to cancel out of the menu, and let there be light!

if the keypad is locked, but the screen is on, meaning you can barely see the reminder:

- Press the right soft key to bring up the menu (still hard to see, but look closely)

I love my new c500, except for the keypad lights.

I usually lock my keypad, but try unlocking it in the dark...

The keypad lights dont come on until you have actually unlocked the keypad, even if the light sensor is off.. I'm like duh! how am i supposed to see the right keys to press to actually unlock the thing..

Even more annoying is when u press the 9 key instead of #. Do this 3 times and it asks if u want to mak a 999 call!!

Is there a setting somewhere that'll let the keypad lighhts come on.

Please help me on this one.

That's a standard featue most phones have.
