WMA playback issue on MPX220

Hi all, I'm a newbie on smartphone

Please forgive my poor English since I am a Chinese from HK :D

let's say, I have 3 64k wma songs, a.wma, b.wma and c.wma, they are converted from a.mp3, b.mp3 and c.mp3. When I playing a.wma using windows media player, it suddenly jump to b.wma at time 0:30. Then I try to play a.wma at betaplayer, it stick at the time 0:30. After that, I manaully fast forward the time to 0:35 and everything gonna fine. I directly play a.mp3 and the same problem occur. At this stage, b.wma and c.wma are working normally.

Then, I encode these 3 mp3 to 96k wma.

After encoding, a.wma works normally. But this time c.wma have the playback problem that a.wma was.

I have searched many forums at HK and I found somebody said "Motorola staff explain that this problem is caused by windws mobile 2003se but not by neither the song nor hardware."

Can anyone tell me how to fix it, or it really a bug of windows mobile 2003se?

Thanks for all your advise :D

sounds like a mini sd memory problem.

check for a diffrent post here about the mini sd.

try to put the files in the phone memory to test them.

This problem not only happen in wma but also for mp3 in SD card.

When I play mp3 from my WMP9, it will also do the same thing sometimes. Not always, and it doesn't happen at the same "time" in the same song.

Personally I think they should keep fixing the firmware 'til it's resolved. I don't think there is a specific SD card problem because it can read/write fine most of time. It should be the firmware problem interacing w/ the SD card.
