Guest john_wings Posted February 2, 2005 Report Posted February 2, 2005 (edited) I have just upgraded my phone from a Panasonic GD87 to the Imate SPV C500 (on the Orange network). Now I have the nightmare of swapping contacts from my old Panasonic phone to the my new Imate ! The contacts on my Panasonic were not stored on the SIM and if I copy them to the SIM it looses some of the contact information. So instead I sent each contact on the Panasonic via infrared to my laptop (I could not send all contacts in one go, I had to send each contact one by one... all 170 of them !) The Panasonic sends contacts via infrared as a .vcf file in the format shown below... BEGIN:VCARD VERSION:2.1 N;CHARSET=UTF-8:Rob TEL;HOME;VOICE:0123 456789 TEL;HOME;CELL:07973 123456 END:VCARD So I now have 170 vcf files which I need to somehow import onto my Imate SPV C500. Does anyone know how I can do this, without having to manually enter each contact into the phone ? I could write a macro to reformat the data in the vcf files if necessary, using Excel or Word etc. I manually entered a few contacts into the Imate to see where the contacts are stored on the phone.... but I cannot find them ? Does anyone know where the contacts are stored and how I can edit them ? Thanks. Edited February 2, 2005 by john_wings
