Guest swam Posted February 2, 2005 Report Posted February 2, 2005 yo, I am currently using WMP9 on my Orange spv c500, and when converting any format of file avi / mpeg etc down to WMV it plays excellently, with perfect sync etc. The only thing is, WMP9 doesnt let you forward or rewind, which sucks when you stop a movie halfway through. I downloaded Betaplayer as it does let you forward and rewind and it didnt like playin my existing .wmv files, and when I encode avi / mpeg down they do not play in synch, the audio lags behind the video. I have been using PocketDivXEncoder_0.3.50 to encode the files down, but Im not sure if I am setting it with the correct options etc. Can anyone recommend either an alternate player which lets me forward and rewind .wmv files with no audio sync lag, or point me in the direction of any online guides so I can encode my files correctly. Thanks for your help cheers Sam

Guest Rui_Costa Posted March 6, 2005 Report Posted March 6, 2005 I have exactly the same problem - a choice between good playback and no forward/rewind and cr@p playback but full features. a lesser of two evils means WMP9 wins, i am now going to check out the link above and do some detective work on WMP10. cheerz
