C500 Hard reset problem

A friend just done a hard reset on his C500 and when it re-booted the message 'Cold boot config alert press 0 to restart phone' keeps coming up. His contacts have been deleted but the backround and theme setup hasn't reset to default. Any help please??? :?:

I have the same problem, does anyone have an answer for this. What happens when you do a hard reset, are you supposed to get this message?

The message to reboot the phone should only display on one boot after a hard reset.

Basically there is a file in the startup folder that checks to see if the phone has been booted before, if it is first boot it runs else it doesnt

I would try hard resetting again. Its a strange error that i havent seen before

Hard Reset several times now and always the same message (sorry for hijacking your're thread Jason7579). This is what happens - turn off phone, turn on phone with soft keys pressed, black screen asking to press 0 to hard reset, press 0, phone resets, stays on windows screen for ages, then get a message saying, " cold boot config alert press 0 to restart phone" press 0 then the phone reboots. It seems like eveything is reset to defult and all added programms have disapeared, but I wanted to know if this is correct. To get an error message with every hard reset seems a bit odd.
