Guest NewEnglandJohn Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 I am new to this forum, but seems to be a wealth of experience out there. I have a warranty replacement MPX200 and want to transfer many numbers that are only stored in the Call History area of the phone. I don't want to have to manually create an Outlook Contact for each record. Using active sync you can not sync Call History. Any ideas?? Also, here's an easy one. Can someone provide me with a link on how to do a hard reset on the old phone before I send it back to Motorola? Thanks, NE John
Guest Disco Stu Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 Welcome to the forum :D Sprite Backup software will most likely do the Call History transfer for you. http://www.spritesoftware.com/home.html Hard reset instructions are here : http://www.modaco.com/index.php?showtopic=198362
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 I've not heard of saving the call history before, One option it to save the numbers to your contact list then you can just sync the numbers between pc and the replacement phone.
Guest NewEnglandJohn Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 Yes, I know that I can do this, but there are possibly 10s to 100s of numbers and I was looking for an easier way. The Sprite SW web site does not mention Call History backup anywhere. I think I will just go thru the numbers manually and create contacts. Thanks for the tips. NewEnglandJohn
