Guest gphillips Posted February 4, 2005 Report Posted February 4, 2005 (edited) Hi I have found the following instuctions on setting up MMS on my MPX220. However mine seems VERY different to most and I am apparently missing something!.... Maybe I just have no MMS composer? There are no auto setrtings for MMS but here are the manual settings Name: Picture Message IP Address: 193.030.166.001 Username: user Password: (none) Homepage: http://mms.virginmobile.co.uk:8002 Server Address: goto.virginmobile.uk So you could try entering them in the phone like this... Description: Virgin MMS Connects to: MMS Network Access point: goto.virginmobile.uk Username: user Password: (none) Primary DNS: 0.0.0.0 Secondary DNS: blank I.P address: blank Inbox>menu>options>account setup>mms>mms setup Server: Virgin MMS Download Messsages: automatically Outgoing message size: less than 100kb Allowed message types: personal Inbox>menu>options>account setup>mms>mms setup>menu>edit connections>menu>add Description: Virgin MMS MMSC Address: http://mms.virginmobile.co.uk:8002 Data Connection: MMS connection Gateway: WAP 1.0 Gateway I.P Address: 193.030.166.001 Port: 9201 You register MMS by successfully sending your first MMS to a phone or an E-mail address. -------------------------------- If I goto INBOX I only have "Text Messages" and "Outlook E-Mail". I have no MMS account. I can create a new account by selecting "account setup" and then MENU / NEW. However, this brings up the "E-Mail Setup" screens so this makes no sense to me. If I progress anyhow (by entering my name, and my email address) THe next screen prompts for User Name, password and domain. Clearly NOT MMS settings. I cant progress if I leave these blank. However on the next screen I can choose "MMS" as the server type. However this makes no sense to me as the next screen then asks for Incoming and Outgoing server names, as well as the usual authentication settings. This all makes no sense, I am worried my phone is just screwed. Any ideas or help would of course be appreciated ! Edited February 4, 2005 by gphillips
